2019; Four 6'x7' macrame panels for Canopy by Hilton
Cotton rope, wooden dowels, and wall brackets
Straight lines of rope interconnect in a series of patterns, knots, and shapes to create stochastic geometry in the process. Through points of connection, repetition, negative space, and the play of light and shadow, overlapping patterns emerge. All of these elements are created just from the rope and it is this simple, yet seemingly complex combination that made this work so enjoyable to create.
